GCSE Equivalency Tests

Our main goal is to provide all the support you need in regard to online exams. This includes discussing the different types of exams available to you. As well as their corresponding qualification(s). While our main focus is usually on the Functional Skills exams and qualifications. Today we aim to cover GCSE Equivalency instead.

In essence, the GCSE Equivalencies give you the opportunity to receive a grade higher than a C., unlike Functional Skills qualifications. They are better suited than Functional Skills qualifications when going into a subject area like teaching. As well as medical courses like nursing and midwifery. But can also be used for most other university courses, as well as with apprenticeship and job providers. 

Like Functional Skills, the exams are designed around the GCSE curriculum and are backed by multiple major exam boards. Adapted by A Star Equivalency to ensure that the subjects can be studied and the exam taken in a short time period. 

GCSE Equivalencies also benefit from having twice as many subjects as Functional Skills. These being:

• Maths
• English
• Science
• Biology

All offer a paper exam option, as well as a course that is based entirely on the exam. This contains multiple revision courses to ensure that you are fully prepared for your exams. Including flashcards, mock papers, and so on.
